Fall foliage on the North American East Coast is spectacular... I spent the holidays with my family in Toronto, despite the cold weather. Actually it was unseasonably warm, and many days even warmer than Seattle, which is unusual. The first snowfall was the day before I left. New Year's Eve was a family affair with plenty of good food (canapes, raclette, dessert) and drinks. Lots of drinks. By the way, Toronto means "meeting place" in a First Nation (fka Indian) language. |
